Marketing & Communications Executive part time , salary pro rata, around 4 hours a day to suit

To help sustain its continued growth, the Company is looking to recruit an experienced Marketing & Communications Executive.

The Marketing function is integral to the overall Sales & Marketing effort and is therefore a role of great importance and influence. This position is responsible for all marketing related activities – from website design/management and email shots, to literature design and media related communications. Working closely with Sales, there will also be a requirement to manage the Company’s internal CRM system and databases.

It will require good experience, especially within web design and HTML programming, acquired in a similar role over a 2 ~ 3 year period, a strong ‘can do’ approach and lots of enthusiasm and energy.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Creativity – being able to formulate eye catching concepts, designs, ideas.

Website Development – developing, managing and updating the Company’s website. Including social networking (e.g. LinkedIn etc..) feeds. This role will be responsible for planning (in junction with Management and Sales) and development of the company website. Skills in website development and CMS (such as WordPress) are therefore essential.

Direct / Email Marketing Campaigns – in conjunction with the sales team, prepare and distribute email broadcasts on a regular basis. Involves creating the email, sending via an online service and liaising with Sales regarding the feedback (opens, click-through etc), received through the online service. Also includes management of the database, HTML skills are essential for the creation of the emails.

Lead Generation – using a variety of media and methods, generate live leads for sales team active follow-up. Review, monitor and ensure weekly Sales team lead activities are followed feedback for analysis.

Press Releases – prepare press releases referring to new products or enhancements, news relating to sales, contracts and strategic agreements. Ensuring Company’s products and news items are put forward for inclusion in all relevant trade features, including product reviews.

Literature Design – responsible for the production of Company/product related literature. Good basic skills in an appropriate design package such as InDesign / PDF and/or Illustrator are essential for this.

Vendor Liaison – liaise with vendors to co-ordinate joint marketing efforts. Maintain both master and vendor-specific Marcom schedules for each vendor and an overall.

Marketing/Strategic Planning – work closely with the General Manager/Director and senior management to contribute significantly to marketing thinking and execution of plans. (Focus industry, type of promotion, differentiating/competitor’s strategies).

Product/Industry Knowledge – develop a sufficient knowledge of the products/industries which allows decisions to be taken regarding which products to promote, to whom and for what reasons.

Commercial Awareness – being able to assess and improve the commercial benefits of activities undertaken.

Miscellaneous Tasks – including: –

* Co-ordinate marketing communications activities and events, as required

* Working with sales management to maintain and extract reports from Company CRM system (Sage CRM)

* Provide activity reports on a monthly basis and any other reports, as required

* Monitor and provide feedback from google analytics

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. The experience required for the position will ideally have been gained from working in a technology distribution environment. It will require:

* A good working knowledge of WordPress, or similar, and experience in the design and development of websites

* Experience in Social Networking campaigns (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc.)

* Experience in designing e-shots and managing email campaigns

* Experience in producing newsletters and collateral, requiring familiarity with design software such as InDesign or Quark Express., PDF etc.

* Highly PC literate with knowledge of Microsoft computer packages (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint etc)

* Able to take initiative and work with minimal supervision on a number of concurrent projects

* An ability to meet previously agreed deadlines

* Knowledge of databases/CRM would be an advantage
