Job Purpose:

As a Marketing Executive, you will support our growing ambition for Munich Re UK Life Branch, with the strategic objective of enhancing client relationships, expanding market presence and boosting the Munich Re brand in the UK.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with both creativity and strong attention to detail, who is also confident in challenging and presenting alternative solutions and ideas to contribute to our team. The role presents an excellent opportunity to engage in a broad spectrum of both external and internal marketing activities, with a specific focus on core areas such as content marketing, PR, event and hospitality, digital marketing and internal communications. We are a small team, so working flexibly and adapting to change is key. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this individual will collaborate closely with business teams. There is the possibility for progression within the role and company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To maintain and provide an excellent service on expected external marketing activities including, but not limited to, hospitality, industry events, gifts/merchandise, branding and communications for increased brand visibility and engagement.

  • To work closely with the wider branch to deliver effective internal communications on relevant channels and lead on all HR, DEI and business initiatives.

  • To work closely with the wider Global Marketing Communication team to deliver relevant campaigns locally and ensure integrated MarCom support being performed.

Collaborate with broader Global Communications team whenever appropriate to share insights, leverage best practices and drive efficiencies that will improve quality, consistency and effectiveness of marketing outcome.


General Duties and Tasks:

  • Support and ensure delivery of our marketing strategy across all lines of business.

  • Oversee our client event plan, encompassing hospitality, seminars, and industry events, while proactively exploring new event opportunities by assessing the market for all business lines.

  • Prepare press releases/company statements as required.

  • Ensure the continued relevance of content on our external website.

  • Lead and deliver our internal communication strategy including, but not limited to, video content and social media platform.

  • Develop compelling and relevant marketing campaigns for the UK with the Global team, selecting the most suitable marketing channels in alignment with campaign objectives and target audience.

  • Analyse both internal and external campaigns and monitor marketing activity to identify successes and learnings.


Key Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • High attention to detail

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent collaboration and project management skills

  • Self-motivated, can do attitude

  • Team player

  • Two-four years marketing experience

  • Technical skill basic knowledge – social media, use of Adobe Suites tools and One View CRM

Desirable

  • Re-insurance or financial services experience
