Marketing Executive

We are looking for a sociable self-starter to join us as a Marketing Executive.

The role requires you to be creative, self-motivated, a strong planner, good communicator with the ability to multi-task and you must have great attention to detail.

The role would be suited to an all-rounder within marketing who is able to work with different types of customers & clients across different marketing initiatives. However, we are always excited to speak to budding Marketeers, with a passion for hospitality, that are keen to learn and grow whilst working. General Scope

We are looking for Marketing & Sales Executive who analyses and appreciates the market trends and competitor activity.

The role will entail developing out the marketing strategy and will work closely with the Management team and Owners of the business to implement this strategy via a variety of streams including social media, digital advertising and local community outreach.

As El Pirata is a small business it’s important to be agile and often quick pivoting on the marketing strategy is required to continue to drive sales. Where possible you will analyse and make improvements to the existing booking processes & booking system, following weekly catchups with the Management team. You will also be key in driving new bookings into the business through 3rd party relationships, our existing bookings database, and generating new leads via proactive outreach where necessary.

Key but not limited to, responsibilities-

· Creating and owning newsletter communications including the formation of creative assets for monthly newsletters, automated marketing communications, restaurant specific emails and campaign lead emails.

· Upkeep of the website and 3rd party websites inclusive of menus and ensuring all content is up to date across all landing pages. The website and menu pages need regular testing and optimising. Provide support to the Management Team & Website Manager on new ideas and development opportunities across the website in tandem with our digital marketing agency.

· Local community outreach is a crucial part of the restaurant’s marketing strategy. This includes liaising with hotel concierges and local businesses and keeping them appraised of the restaurant’s promotions and seasonal menu changes.

· Promotion of events at the restaurant such as wine tasting dinners.

· Organising shoot lists and working with third party content creator on shoots to deliver what is required

· Full management of social media profiles across Instagram, Facebook, Tik-Tok, LinkedIn. This includes scheduling content and responding to direct messages.

· Creation of paid social ads & media briefing in collaboration with the Management team.

· Creation and management of the seasonal marketing calendar is especially important for all key date activity and to ensure all campaigns and deadlines are met. This includes keeping abreast of conferences taking place in the area and liaising with organisers to capitalise on these conferences and translate this into revenue.

· Reporting including weekly meetings with Management

The below competencies are desirable for this role:

· 1 + years’ experience in Marketing role

· Experience using CRM & booking systems (Opentable is a bonus)

· Experience in paid social ads

· Passionate about hospitality

· Confident in copywriting

· Organised with strong attention to detail

· Positive attitude

· Team player who is willing to help across a range of projects within Sales & Marketing

· Strong interest in the marketing & hospitality industry

· Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Canva, Word etc

· Photoshop experience a plus

· Have a passion for social media

· A willingness to follow industry trends
