Imperial London Family of Hotels may not be the most immediately recognisable hotel brand, and yet it has a celebrated history as the owner of numerous hotels in Bloomsbury, London, for over 185 years. Throughout this time, it has remained an independent and private business, and is currently under the Directorship of the 7th generation of the same family. Imperial London Hotels own and operate seven 3 & 4-star hotels near Russell Square underground station, including the UK’s largest hotel, The Royal National Hotel (over 1,600 rooms).

These are exciting times for Imperial London as it seeks to evolve and modernise all areas of the business whilst keeping its unique heritage and culture at its heart. The flagship Imperial Hotel is undergoing a major refurbishment and will open in early 2026 as a 4* Deluxe Hotel and a new jewel in the crown of London’s hospitality offering. In May 2023, Imperial London unveiled a confident and contemporary new brand identity, laying the foundation for future business growth and success.

About the Role

Are you a creative thinker with a passion for marketing? Join our friendly and expanding marketing team in London as we seek a talented Marketing Manager. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in end-to-end marketing activity, across all communication channels to support each of our six hotels. Your marketing experience ensures you prioritise the audience messaging and understand how to effectively communicate with them. Collaboration with external agencies, hotel teams, central service departments and our in-house design studio will be pivotal to success. This is an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Manager or Senior Marketing Executive to hone their skill in a dynamic and high energy environment, where creative flair and doing things differently motivates us. This is your chance to make a real difference in shaping our hotels as we move into the next exciting chapter of our business!

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Senior Marketing Manager to develop and execute the Marketing Plan to support the business objectives to drive room nights, food and beverage, meeting and events business, CSR activity and OTA initiatives.
  • Responsible for executing email marketing campaigns to drive engagement and conversion, through segmentation and audience first messaging.
  • Work with the website developers to lead optimisations for the desktop and mobile website, whilst ensuring content remains topical and up to date.
  • Responsible for activating our social media channels across the group.
  • Collaborate with the internal Brand Team to create compelling content or promotions.
  • Working closely with the PR team to deliver the strategic plan and manage media requests
  • Work alongside our digital marketing agency with day-to-day tasks and advancements to our campaigns.
  • Produce monthly reports, with actionable next steps that will grow and optimise our marketing efforts.

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in on-property or multi-site hospitality setting, preferably in central London.
  • Proven experience in email marketing, website management and paid marketing, including paid search, social and display.
  • Knowledge and experience of using GA4 to make data focused marketing decisions.
  • Strong communication and media relations experience.
  • Commercially savvy, and an outside of the box thinker with a passion for marketing.
  • A great team player with strong communication skills. You want to be part of a team that works hard, cares for each other and above all has fun along the way.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and collaborative, with excellent time management and organisational skills, adaptability to work to changing priorities.
  • Highly self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude possessing a real sense of pride in your work.
