Contract: Full Time, permanent basis

Work Pattern: Hybrid Work, 3 days can be worked from home

Job Overview

We have a new opportunity for new Marketing Operations Specialist to join our CEG Digital CRM & Marketing Nurture team  based at the Head Office in Cambridge. We also has an office in Newcastle, Northumberland and applications from candidates who can work from the Newcastle office will also be considered. 

As a member of the CEG Digital CRM & Marketing Nurture  team, reporting to the Head of CRM & Marketing Nurture, the Marketing Operations Specialist has as a responsibility to help the Sales and Marketing team use technology effectively, implement training exercises, workflows that would facilitate the marketing and recruitment process for down funnel progression, align sales and marketing and oversee CRM performance and engagement, onboard new salespeople, strategise on process improvements.

A high degree of creativity, imagination, and open-mindedness is expected for this position because of the importance of creative thinking to success.

We expect you to be up to date with the latest digital marketing technologies and trends while aiding in defining how best practice should operate across each of the CEG Digital brands.

This is a strategic position that has both impact and visibility within the Sales and Marketing team and across our organisation. Technology, processes, and execution driven; he/she will have a good understanding of CRM operations. This is a role within the CRM & Marketing Nurture team within an exciting and dynamic global organisation focused on transforming its digital capabilities over the next few years.

Key responsibilities

  • To assist the Head of CRM & Marketing Nurture with the on boarding and contact strategies in an operational capacity to maximise recruitment and revenue growth potential to meet student targets within the overall strategic plan.
  • Lead on automated customer engagement though Chat bots across all brands.
  • Set up new CRM instances and build up all the necessary automations, custom properties and touchpoints following a project plan linked to the overall new brand launch, when applicable.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing a centralised CRM framework that supports all our brands’ evolving adoption of the platform. (Includes documentation, support processes, user role management, etc).
  • Ensure that data within CRM system is as clean and accurate as possible, including periodic checkpoints to ensure that data is flowing correctly.
  • Manage and maintain user access to software including CRM to ensure that necessary permission sets are in place where needed and adding/removing access to systems where required.
  • Manage health of integrations from third party software into CRM systems to allow safe and secure passage of data between different platforms.

Key person specification

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience in CRM Operations and Digital Marketing.
  • Experience working with a CRM. HubSpot highly desirable.
  • Fundamental understanding of CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Basic understanding of API integrations.
  • Knowledge and experience with other CRM’s such as: Salesforce, Zoho, etc; are a big plus.
  • Experience reading business requirements documents and translating defined requirements into detailed solutions.
  • Experience of managing projects involving integration across systems and re-engineering business processes.
  • Stress tolerant and able to handle and prioritise multiple brands/ projects at the same time and perform under tight deadlines.
  • Good time-management and project management skills
  • Can find creative ways to meet advanced customer needs
  • Critical thinker and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong data and analytical skills with High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to jump from the analytical side of marketing to the creative side, and able to demonstrate why hers/his ideas are sound.
