What’s it all about?
- Visa is looking for a Marketing Planning Manager to drive the marketing and events activities of the EU Enabler Business Development team within MS&A.
- We are responsible for driving pan-European growth by establishing close partnerships with Merchant Service Providers, including payment gateways, payment service providers and other key emerging fintechs on the seller side.
- This is an exciting new role within a dynamic business development team. The clear goal to deliver new business prospects through effective marketing comms planning and execution. And importantly, the ownership of internal and external events co-ordination and delivery to promote the services of Visa. The role holder will also be responsible for management of the new business leads pipeline and the nurturing activities necessary to turn leads into opportunities.
- Reporting to the Director, Commercial Execution, Europe Enablers and working with colleagues across the business, this Manager will deliver on high-profile, cross functional marketing strategies and events. Working in tandem with the B2B marketing function along with their agency partners, to deliver sustainable revenue growth and achieve Visa goals.
What we expect of you, day to day.
- To operate as the marketing planner for Europe Enablers being the single point of contact and expert aligning with the commercial goals of the team.
- To own the marketing plan and communication of activities with the team and wider business
- To deliver a sequence of marketing activities to engage the Enabler community with Visa’s products and services.
- The measurement and reporting of each campaign’s success, assessment and application of learnings.
- Managing the segmentation of our data to drive effective marketing
- The sourcing and prioritisation of content from the Enabler team, wider MS&A, product teams and our partners.
- To understand the current and evolving state of the Enabler landscape, market, and competitors and find potential opportunity gaps our marketing activities can fill.
- The ownership of the events calendar, the organisation and execution of events and team attendance and roles within each activity.
- The ownership of the marketing budget and effective allocation via a calendar of activities.
- The assessment and organisation of the business development pipeline, leveraging the leads delivered from marketing activities.
- Activating nurture activities to evolve leads to business development prospects.
- Organise internal status updates with the team and wider business.
- Strive to deliver Visa goals and be a role model for Visa’s leadership principles
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Robust direct Marketing Planning experience and a passion for marketing excellence.
- Experience of working with social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn.
- Experience of maintaining database of records leveraging excel and CRM systems, preferably MS Dynamics
- A great attention to detail, superb organisational skills, and the ability to multitask at scale.
- Experience of managing budgets and financial planning.
- Events planning experience and an enthusiasm for events co-ordination and delivery.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization including executive management.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills including an ability to convey complex technical information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across functions and geographies in a matrix environment.
- Sound commercial understanding with the ability to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
- Ability to prioritise projects with a key focus on business targets and goals.
- Possesses high standards of ethics and integrity towards employees, stakeholders and customers.

- Willingness to travel periodically as required.
