SalaryOur client is a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company committed to delivering high-quality products. On their behalf, we are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Material Controller to join their team and play a crucial role in optimising material flow processes.
As the new Material Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials between various departments. Your primary duties will include reviewing and distributing production schedules, checking progress with department managers, and ensuring seamless inventory management. Attention to detail and adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements are critical in this role.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience and knowledge of working within a manufacturing environment.
Computer literacy, including ERP systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Numeracy skills for accurate record keeping.
Attention to detail for the accurate fulfilment of material requests.
Understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements for material handling.
Verbal and written communication skills for understanding requests and responding to material requests.
Ability to prioritise workload.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspecting materials on receipt and booking into the ERP system.
Coordinating with logistics to transport materials within the factory.
Replenishing lineside locations in a timely manner.
Progress chasing material shortages and liaising with required departments.
Supporting cycle/PI counts to ensure stock accuracy.
Aligning physical stocks within the ERP system.
Entering material movements within the ERP system.
Responding to material requests from other business departments.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Manufacturing experience.
Ability to use ERP systems.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work at pace with accuracy.
Good problem-solving skills.
Experience in Inventory Control.
Qualifications (Advantageous):
Experience in Dynamics 365.
Manufacturing experience.
Proficient level of skill with conducting various IT tasks.
Willingness to stay up to date with required software.
