Material Coordinator

Global Manufacturing organisation based in Barry are currently looking to recruit an Material Coordinator to work on a full time basis 40 hours per week, fully on site.

You will act as a focal point for acquisition, scheduling and expediting of materials. The main scope is for maintenance jobs and Turnarounds.

Responsibilities / Duties

• Enters materials and equipment requests via Procurement System and confirms delivery date.
• Communicates to the focal point with status updates on orders including any issues such as delayed delivery.
• Communicates any potential changes in material specifications between supplier and requests and initiates system updates, as appropriate.
• Coordinates the repair and/or return of materials on a value added work order.
• Monitors/tracks materials, tools and equipment orders upon receipt.
• Gathers information and inputs into the appropriate maintenance measures/key performance indicators (KPI). Uses metrics to measure materials coordination tasks and develops action to improve the process.
• Communicates vendor performance to procurement services.
• Works closely with procurement, coding, planning, scheduling and work coordination to provide seamless execution of the Global Management Work Process (GMWP) and Turnaround methodology.

Experience

• Maintenance, manufacturing or other related experience.
