Material Handler

We are representing our client in their search for a dedicated Material Handler to become an integral part of their operations. This diverse role, based within a thriving manufacturing environment, offers the opportunity to engage in a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring a seamless goods in/out process in line with company procedures, policies, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Warehouse and Yard Supervisor in streamlining the goods in/out procedure.
• Handle incoming stock from vendors, ensuring accurate recording and storage.
• Efficiently manage stock movement within the company, as well as external sales orders and deliveries.
• Utilize the SAP ERP system for accurate booking and management of goods.
• Supply production with necessary raw materials based on system-generated picking lists.
• Ensure all stock is handled with care, maintaining accurate stock levels and bin location through daily cycle counts.
• Maintain store areas in a neat, orderly fashion, adhering to company procedures and safety guidelines.
• Cover for other staff within the department during holidays.
• Execute picking, packing, and loading/unloading of deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Technical Skills/Knowledge:

• Experience in stores and production processes.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
• A valid counterbalance certificate for unloading and loading vehicles.
• Driver's license for onsite vehicle escorting.

This will be an initial 12-month contract which will likely be extended for another 12 months.
