Stores Operative/ Materials Handler, required to work for a specialist manufacturing business based in Farnborough. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Operative who can show a consistent reference-able 5 year work history. This role is key to ensure a smooth flow of incoming and outgoing material across the site both to production and out to customers. You will also be working with external parties and managing incoming goods and into stores.
Alongside this you will also have a good understanding of Export compliance, customer and company procedure. They will also ensure that the department's targets in respect of Operational Excellence and Customer OTIF are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick pack and despatch of all work and sales orders within a stores environment
- Be able to despatch sales orders to customer this includes, Generate despatch paperwork, pick, pack and release to customer specifications and requirements.
- Booking work orders to stock and putting away in the correct stores location
- Control and ordering of all packaging material and supplies
- Goods Inwards, be competent on all aspects of goods receiving, and be able to book in all types of purchase orders whether from a supplier or Mexico.
- Generate all paperwork and labels, as well as being able to pick all products as per pick lists
- Generate all paperwork and labels for international shipments, and be able to pick and pack them
- Be able to transfer and adjust stock
- Scanning and uploading of documents on AutoForm
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
- Knowledge of Baan or comparable ERP system
- Engineering/ Manufacturing Stores Experience
- Must be computer literate
- Be able to work not only on own initiative, but also as a team member
- The ability to work to the company's and the customers procedures
- Good numerical and literacy skills
