Job Title: Material Handler - Stores and production

Contract Duration: 12 months (Potential to go perm)

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire, UK

Working hours: Day Shift: 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 12:30 Friday with two 15-minute tea breaks and half hour for lunch. Opportunity for weekly overtime

Job Description:

In this role you will assist the Warehouse and yard Supervisor in ensuring that the whole goods in/out procedure run in accordance with company procedures, policies, and guidelines. This is a mixed Role and duties may differ throughout out the week from working in stores dealing with Stock coming in from vendors, stock moving though and around the company as well as dealing with external sales orders and delivery out of the company

• Picks materials, components and end products and deliver them to Production or shipping.

• Prepares component kits for production, fills orders and supplier subcontract parts.

• Basic technical skills and knowledge in a warehouse environment

• Prepare items ready for despatch and verifying paperwork.

• Assisting drivers with the loading/unloading of vehicles Processing material and documentation for shipping orders out to customers.

• Competency in the use of the business ERP system

• Basic administration skills including the ability to prioritise workload.

• Dealing with visitors including customer representatives, carriers, and Internal staff in a professional and courteous manner

• Perform Daily Cycle Counts

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• Experience of SAP (or similar ERP)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel/Outlook

• A valid counterbalance certificate for unloading and loading vehicles.

• Driver’s licence for onsite vehicle escorting. (Fork lift license would be advantage)
