I am are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Material Planner to join a growing team. As a Material Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials through our supply chain, optimising inventory levels, and supporting our production schedules.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday - Core hours: start between 7am and 9am; finish between 3pm and 5pm
on certain days there are fixed deliverable during the morning hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent shortages and excesses.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and pricing.
- Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment between production schedules and material availability.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to materials and suppliers in a timely manner.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Planning experience required
- Good communication skills
- Good Excel skills
- IT literate (MS office)
- Excellent organisational & prioritisation abilities
- Logistics/material flow background is a plus
- Knowledge on MRP planning systems is a plus
- Oracle experience not required (bonus)
