OA are currently working with a globally recognised brand to join their growing team as a Material Planner. You’ll be overseeing the purchasing of ingredients and managing inventories to ensure resources are available to meet the demands.
- St Albans, Hybrid Working
- 08.30am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday
- £30,000 - £35,000
- Permanent contract
Material Planner - Main Duties:
- Manage raw materials for external co-manufacturers
- Coordinate with international central purchasing for order monitoring
- Provide forecasts for supply contract negotiations
- Ensure timely delivery of sales orders to co-manufacturers
- Facilitate global raw material importation for distribution
- Handle customs clearance and shipping documents
- Maintain monthly raw material forecasts
- Conduct stock reconciliation and review safety stock levels
- Generate and analyse stock-related KPIs
- Participate in monthly S&OP process and manage supplier relationships
Material Planner - Key skills & experience:
- Numerical reasoning
- Analytical ability
- People influencing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- At least 2 years FMCG experience ideally gained within the food industry
- Advanced IT skills including Excel (SAP experience would be advantageous)
