Company: One of Europe's leading print and packaging manufacturer.
Role The role will be responsible for the control of materials and identifying required materials based on production schedules and forecasts.
- Ordering materials from overseas supplies and control of stocks based on and off site.
- Purchasing outers and packaging in line with demand.
- Responsible for controlling and identifying materials within credit limits.
- Working closely with planners, suppliers, production, goods in and technical
- Responsible for short and long term materials orders and forecasts
- Works with the senior management team
Requirements:
- Previous experience of working with a materials planner / controller role in a manufacturing environment
- Experienced within a packaging and labels - highly preferred
- Strong commercial awareness
- Experience of using an MRP system
- Excellent use of MS Office
- Able to work with accuracy and fine attention to detail, particularly when under pressure
- Possesses a desire to understand customer and colleague’ requirements
- Uses initiative when approaching new tasks, tackling problems and prioritising workload
