Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Pivot Academy
Do you believe in the transformative power of education?
We offer the time, support and environment that ensures, together, we can shape futures.
Join our mission to inspire and empower students, making a lasting impact.
At Pivot, we believe children deserve better. In our academies we teach and support children and young people from Key Stages 2 – 4. Some of our students have EHCPs and some have been excluded, yet all of them found that mainstream education was not working for them. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some of the most complex and challenging children, many of whom come to us with traumatic backgrounds.
The Pivot Academy Kirklees (upper provision) provides support for young people in Key Stage 4, who have a wide range of complex needs and are usually supported by an EHCP. We work with students and their parents/carers to provide bespoke support based on the individual needs of each child, giving them opportunities to gain a variety of qualifications and follow personalised pathways through to employment. Our students study GCSEs alongside functional and vocational skills in Sport, Creative Crafts, Health, Fitness and Business.
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and resilient practitioner to join our team. As a teacher, you will promote and engage with students in your subject area delivering quality education to learners with SEND.
We are looking for a reflective practitioner with a strong passion for helping every learner in their care reach their full potential.
Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to change our student’s lives and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience.
