Salary: £70,000 - £72,000 & band 4 car allowance (£7297.50 per annum)
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an M&E Project Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
The role will be to manage and deliver on, all aspects of mechanical & electrical projects aligned to the energy management portfolios including HSE compliance, financial control, stakeholder communications and satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities for the M&E Project Manager:
- Ensure compliance with company H&S and CDM requirements including production of relevant documents.
- Adhere to all company ISO, Health & Safety procedures and policies.
- Ensure method statements and risk assessments are adhered to and amend where necessary.
- Full cost & commercial management of allocated projects.
- Attend site progress meetings when required including project review meetings.
- Overall responsibility for submitting project variations and interim application for payment.
- Negotiate final account agreements with assistance from Contract Manager as required.
- Ensure project files are kept up to date in line with the quality management procedures.
- Co-ordinate with estimating / sales at a technical/commercial level.
- Attend project handover meetings with sales.
- Create, manage and maintain accurate project programme of works.
- Prepare monthly revenue forecast and cost to complete reports.
- Responsible for overseeing project procurement.
- Responsible for coordinating design engineering associated with projects under your control as and when required.
- Responsible for the management and support of project resources including design and delivery.
- Responsible for the management of sub-contractors both contractually and commercially.
- Continually evaluate, review and report the performance of sub-contractors.
- Prepare O&M manuals and other documentation such as commissioning/witnessing packs ensure all as commissioned/witness info is stored on server upon project completion.
- Attend training courses and meetings as requested.
- Ensure operatives under your control are suitably trained to carry out the tasks they are carrying out.
- Any other duties deemed necessary by the Directors and / or Senior Managers of the company.
Skills and Qualifications for the M&E Project Manager:
- Strong commercial awareness and a working knowledge of JCT/NEC forms of contracts including variation account management.
- Financial management including budget maintenance and cost to complete accuracy.
- Demonstratable experience of M&E projects and building services technology.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- 5 years’ experience or more in a similar project delivery capacity.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated and accountable.
- Customer engagement and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to use relevant Microsoft Office packages including Microsoft Project or similar.
