AddressWest Coast Motors are looking for Full Time PSV/HGV Bus and Coach Mechanic's based at our Glasgow Charles Street and Glasgow South Street depots to help maintain our fleet and ensure we operate to the highest possible standards.
Main responsibilities for the role of PSV/ HGVMechanic:
- Vehicle maintenance, servicing and running repairs on a varied fleet (including M.O.T preparation)
- Prompt repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company Operators Licence guidelines
- The ability to organise daily workload, communicate effectively and work flexibly
- The ability to work to the highest Health & Safety standards
Requirements for the role of PSV/ HGV Mechanic:
- You will be energetic, self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and thrive within a challenging yet rewarding environment
- You will have at least an SVQ Level 3 in Bus and Coach Engineering and Maintenance qualification (or an equivalent international qualification). If you don't have a qualification, you should have at least five years' experience repairing and maintaining public service or heavy goods vehicles which you will need to evidence.
- The role will be 5 days over 7
- A driving licence is required and PCV licence would be good to have, however we can help you get your licence.
