Key Responsibilities:
- Develop robust, manufacturable design solutions with a strong mechanical engineering aptitude.
- Utilise 3D CAD and analysis tools to create and assess component properties for optimal design (AutoCAD / Inventor).
- Participate in all aspects of product design and development, including validation, type approval, and production support.
- Work within a structured APQP new product development process.
- Provide design and technical engineering support for existing products.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Design Engineer within fast-paced Manufacturing environment
- Degree qualified in relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline
- Experience with a variety of materials and metals.
- Exposure to NPD projects
- Competent use of GD& T / GPS would be desirable
Location: Rossendale
Permanent
Salary: £37k - £43k
Working Hours: Full Time, Mon-Fri, flexible.
