What You Will Do
- Creating and revising Mechanical Designs using CATIA/ 3DX to meet project requirements. This involves conceptualizing, 3D modelling, detailing, and creating fully dimensioned drawings
- Designing of suspension, brakes, steering systems, cooling systems and other mechanical components according to the specification
- Design lightweight structures by considering load paths and packaging requirements to meet performance objectives.
- Develop assembly sequences and select appropriate joining technologies, including welding, bonding, riveting, and fastening solutions, to ensure structural integrity and assembly efficiency.
- Managing and maintaining accurate design documentation, including drawings, specifications, BOMs, and engineering change requests
- Evaluating and selecting appropriate materials based on mechanical properties, processing requirements, and cost considerations. This involves understanding the strengths and limitations of different materials and their impact on design outcomes
- Effectively communicating with internal teams, clients, and manufacturing
What You Need To Succeed
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent R&D design experience
- 3–5 years of professional experience in a similar position
- Motorsport background
- Previous experience in designing suspension components
- Good knowledge and experience of Catia v5 / 3DX
- Previous experience in designing mechanical assemblies
- Knowledge of GD&T principles
- Being able to work under a limited supervision
- Proficient English

- Familiar with CAE tools and methods
