Senior Mechanical Design Engineer job in Edinburgh for a reputable multidisciplinary construction and engineering consultancy, supporting the further expansion and development of the building services team. The role offers a salary of up to £60,000 + Car Allowance £6-7k + Bonus + 27 Days Holiday + Hybrid Working.

Our client is made up of 185 employees across 11 offices who has recently been awarded B-Corp certification, offering services across cost consultancy, building surveying, project management, CDM, M&E, sustainability and site inspection. Serving investors, developers, occupiers and owners in relation to commercial, industrial, residential, education and retail projects. Joining a team of 21, the role reports to the national project teams leads and will be working on commercial properties and development across the UK and Europe.

Role & Responsibilities

• Support the development and expansion of the Edinburgh engineering and sustainability team
• Lead on building services projects
• Deliver a variety of projects in relation to both detailed and performance design
• Provide project monitoring for institutional investors and lenders
• Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients
• Monitor financial performance of the team and report into national project leads
• Manage pipeline work and resourcing
• Enhance and expand sustainable and profitable service offering.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ Years in Mechanical Engineering
• Relevant engineering Degree
• Chartered Building Services Engineer (CIBSE) or similar
• Ability to manage teams and projects
• Strong design and technical experience
• Client-facing background with strong business development/networking skills.
