With a focus on high-spec, custom-made orders, they’re offering an interesting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to bring visionary designs to life and lead projects from concept through to completion.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have the autonomy to manage and drive your projects, witnessing your designs evolve from initial concepts to final, tangible products. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop detailed designs for a unique range of electro-mechanical products, focusing on tailored customer requirements and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D models, detailed component, and assembly drawings using SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software).
- Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring designs meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Use a proactive approach to problem-solving, constantly seeking innovative solutions to design challenges.
About You:
You will be proactive, solution-oriented, and keen to take on challenges within a busy R&D environment. You should have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Mechanical Design, preferably within an R&D setting.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo, or any similar 3D CAD package.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Confidence in voicing your opinions and ideas, fostering collaboration across teams and departments.
