Mechanical Design Engineer required for a manufacturer of different mechanical and electrical products based in Watford (Mechanical Drive shafts, Electrical switchgear, etc) The successful candidate will be experienced within design throughout university and ideally have hands on experience.

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview

Carry out all duties of a mechanical engineer within the engineering team.

Provide technical support and quotations to customers.

Major/Key

Responsibilities:

Carrying out product related R&D.

3D CAD (Solidworks).

Improving and automating production processes.

Design and build of machinery.

Discuss and solve complex problems with customers and suppliers.

Providing technical support to the sales team and external customers,

including preparation of quotes.

Producing process and product documentation / datasheets.

Research and selection of materials used in products.

Commission and maintain plant and systems.

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements
