SalaryDue to an increased workload, an opportunity has arisen for experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineers within a high performing, multi-disciplinary team environment.

The Opportunity:
- Work in all areas of the Product Life Cycles, from Mechanical Future Concepts, Detailed Design and Qualification to Production and In-service support.
- Lead the development of mechanical solutions on a variety of complex weapons and weapons systems
- Collaborate with wider multi-disciplinary teams
- Work on multi-national projects with opportunities for travel
- Develop personal leadership skills
- Work towards Chartership and Professional Accreditation
Requirements:
- Degree/HND/HNC qualified with experience in Mechanical Design and Development
- Ability to lead Mechanical Design work packages
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Awareness of proving and qualification activities to ensure compliance against requirements
- Robust design experience across the Product Life Cycle (CADMID)
- Experience of supplier engagement and development
Desirables
- Understanding of structural/thermal/dynamic analysis
- Relevant 3D CAD/CAE experience
