What Are We Looking ForOur Operations & Maintenance team (O&M) are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our business on a full time permanent basis in Muir of Ord office. The O&M team deliver small to medium multi-discipline projects on the repair, replacement, design and installation of equipment and plant systems for Utility services (Water and Power), and clients within the Transport, Food & Beverage, and Oil & Gas industries throughout Scotland, including the Northern and Western Isles. You will take on a leading role in aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation, ensuring compliance with Client Specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus low on carbon solutions.Some of your key duties include:Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implantation.Ensure compliance with Client specification and current regulatory standards.Develop design deliverables.Complete checking and approval processes.Arrange procurement of goods and services.Prepare work scope estimates/quotations.Assemble contract works information documents.Consider project health and safety, quality and environmental matters.Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.Implement project change control and programme requirements.Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.What do you need?Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentKnowledge of British and European design standardsProven track record as a Mechanical Engineer in either design office and in a construction environment.Full UK Clean Driving LicenceWho Are We?RSE is a market leader in delivering engineered solutions for the treatment & purification of water.
