Hours: 36 hours Monday to Friday (however may require to be ‘on call’ rota)

Salary: £31,179 to £38,950

Fife Resource Solutions is one of the largest resource management companies in Scotland, handling over 300,000 tonnes of waste and recyclable materials per year. Our mission is to deliver best value sustainable waste and resource management services and to make Fife the resource management hub for Scotland. We employ over 200 people within Fife to undertake these activities.

We operate: Material Recovery Facilities, an Anaerobic Digestion facility with composting operations, 11 household waste recycling centres, around 300 multi-material recycling points, fuel production, landfill gas recovery, combined heat & power plant, active and closed landfill sites, leachate treatment facilities and all the associated logistics and business operations.

Amongst the operations at our Cireco Park site at Lochhead is a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for household mixed recycling and an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) facility for food/garden waste. We also operate an MRF at Lower Melville Wood which sorts recyclable materials.

You will work as part of a team, based at Cireco Park, Lochhead although you will be expected to operate at different waste/ recycling facilities. The main duties will involve dealing with mechanical/ gas and / or electrical equipment at both MRFs and the AD facility. You will also be required to assist with other operations/functions across our sites. This role is expected to be involved on an ‘on-call’ rota.

We are looking for safety conscious people and having an industrial/environmental/ Waste Management background is desirable, although not essential as training will be provided.
