Mechanical Estimator

Mechanical Estimator required for our client, they are a specialist HVAC and construction services company in Essex that offer service, maintenance, design and installation of various mechanical systems such as; plumbing, heating, air conditioning, ventilation etc. to the commercial and domestic market. The Mechanical Estimator will be involved in design and build projects, within various sectors including; offices, schools, apartments, health care etc. Values typically go up to £2.5m in value.

The Estimator will be office based, in Essex (with scope to work from home after probation) and will need to have a proven background preparing detailed cost pricing and estimates for mechanical packages / building services for commercial sites. The Mechanical Estimator will be required to prepare and present tenders to specifications and drawings as well as attend site meetings and handover meetings to contacting team on successful tenders. Knowledge of system design for mechanical services, predominately plumbing and heating systems.

Mechanical EstimatorPosition Overview

• Preparing cost pricing & estimates for new contracts up to circa £2.5m in value
• Amendments or variations to existing contracts
• Analyse fully subcontract / supplier tenders for compliance to the specification and drawings
• Present tenders to Directors for review prior to final submission
• Attend handover meetings to contracting team on successful tenders

Mechanical EstimatorPosition Requirements

• Mechanical Services experience with the commercial and industrial sector
• Previous experience in estimating design and build, mechanical projects
• Produce tenders and quotations from drawings and specifications
• Based within commutable distance of the office near Grays, Essex

Mechanical EstimatorPosition Remuneration

• £50,000 - £60,000 Salary
• 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
• Flexible working from home (after settled into the position).
• Package discussed at interview
