Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter with strong Fluid Power/hydraulics knowledge looking for a change of career direction or an opportunity to pass on your skills and knowledge to the next generation?

The role of Mechanical Fitter /Fluid Power (Trainer/Tutor) would suit those with significant experience in the mechanical fitting industry with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, you will have demonstrable Fluid Power (hydraulics/pneumatics) experience, manual machining, welding and general fitting knowledge, the emphasis being on Fluid Power knowledge.

You do not need to have previous experience of teaching, tutoring or assessing. The company will provide you with the skills to be able to deliver apprenticeship and training courses and formal qualifications along the way. Candidates with any previous teaching/assessing experience/qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
This is a varied role where you will be working within a state of the art training facility amongst and with the support of an experienced team to deliver both standardised and bespoke programs. All learners are enrolled by their employers for specific courses and are there as part of their skill development within their current roles, this is not a general education centre. All courses are both classroom and workshop based and you will benefit from a wide range of theory and practical learning resources with live workstations for training.

Mechanical Fitter (Trainer/Tutor):
Experienced in general mechanical fitting, manual machining techniques, welding, assembly and especially Fluid Power (hydraulics & pneumatics) techniques.
Hold a recognised engineering qualification at level 3 or equivalent as a minimum.
A desire to pass on knowledge and experience to the next generation of engineers.
