The Job role of a Maintenance Fitter?

Working as a Mechanical Fitter within a small team to ensure all site plant and equipment are kept within good working order as well supporting project installations.

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine the specifications and requirements for each project
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and fabricate metal components
• Perform various welding techniques, such as stick welding, to join metal parts together
• Measure and cut materials to the required dimensions using basic math skills
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient work-flow and timely completion of projects
• Monday to Friday Day shift with overtime available

What do you need to be successful as a Maintenance Fitter?

Working as a maintenance fitter you will need a strong industrial background and flexible approach to work

• Minimum L2 qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum L3 qualification in Fabrication and Welding
• Previous experience in a similar role e.g. Maintenance fitter, Mechanical fitter, Site Engineer, Project fitter
• Heavy industrial experience highly desirable
• Previous experience on yellow plant highly desirable
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
