We have an exciting opportunity for a number of engineers to join a hard-working marine engineering team on a long-term contract basis. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems. Essential Prerequisites
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, with a focus on hydraulics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 3 years industry relevant experience minimum
- Relevant qualification in mechanical, hydraulic or electrical fitting and assembly
Tasks will include but will not be limited to:
- mechanical fitting, new build assembly and test
- Maintenance and commissioning of mechanical and hydraulic systems
- On site troubleshooting and repairs
- Pre delivery inspections, post receipt inspections and repairs
- Management and operation of new builds
- Maintenance and servicing reinstatement of new and reconditioned products as required.
The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and capable of managing their time and resources effectively in order to meet product and project deadlines.
