We are currently seeking a skilled and versatile Mechanically Biased Multi–skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team and contribute to our ongoing success.
Responsibilities:
Conducting routine maintenance tasks on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure smooth operation and prevent downtime. Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions. Performing preventive maintenance activities to maintain equipment reliability and prevent breakdowns. Responding to emergency maintenance requests and resolving issues promptly to minimize impact on production. Collaborating with other maintenance team members and production staff to address maintenance needs effectively. Documenting maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and part replacements. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency. Requirements:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastics industry. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems. Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and machining processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast–paced environment. Excellent problem–solving skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work shifts and respond to emergency call–outs as needed. Relevant technical qualifications or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or a related field.
