Mechanical/Piping Designer
Our client are seeking a Mechanical/Piping Designer for ongoing, long term contract positions in the North West. Designers will be engaged on Nuclear Decommissioning projects.
- Rate - up to 45 per hour
- Hybrid working - 3 days on site, 2 days from home.
- Please note - Contract roles are long term and therefore INSIDE IR35.
- BPSS Security Clearance will be required and will be arranged following successful interview.
Qualifications: HNC/Higher TEC Diploma
General Education Qualifications eg GSE's, 0 Levels, GCSE's
Professional: Incorporated Engineer preferred
Experience:
- Minimum Requirement : 3 years within the previous 5 years working in a role where knowledge of engineering was a key attribute.
- Minimum 1 years within the last 3 years working within a regulated and quality assured system (preferably nuclear) in roles reliant upon pragmatic engineering judgement and where design was a major part of the role
- Specific Requirements Engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery, including recent positions influencing designers, and guiding technical personnel in the definition, implementation and delivery of engineering work packages as directed by a Responsible Engineer
- Awareness of laws, regulations, processes and procedures appropriate to the area supported
- Current experience of design and detailing (appropriate to discipline) of plant and equipment, including solutions, regulations, standards and operating environment influences
- Knowledge of relevant design tools, techniques and related methods eg IT systems, Hazop process
