Codian Robotics BV is The Leading Innovator for Pick & Place robots. We are positioned under B&R, part of the ABB group, a global leader in industrial robotics and automation. At Codian Robotics we develop and manufacture industrial robot mechanics that are sold all over the world. We are a flexible, innovative, ambitious and growing company. Currently we are expanding our R&D team and are looking for an enthusiastic mechanical engineer who supports us to develop the next generation of parallel kinematic robot mechanics. As engineer in our R&D team you will be responsible for creating new solutions for our robots and customers. Your innovations are the start of the B&R Codian product offering. In this position, you will be part of the team developing and maintaining our robot mechanics. In this role you have the change to use your creativity to design the next generation of robot mechanics. Reporting to the Team Lead Engineering, you will be executing R&D Projects in order to meet the requirements of product development and customer requests.
Your responsibilities
- Creating innovative conceptual solutions in the field of industrial robotics.
- Creating detail mechanical designs and calculations.
- Using your experience to help the team grow and perform their daily task.
- Supporting the assembly department and being the technical point of contact with our suppliers.
- Assisting Sales in technical customer inquiries and supporting pilot customer applications.
Your background
- Enthusiasm for technology and willingness to develop in our team.
- Engineering degree (bachelor/master) in the field of mechanical engineering.
- You have broad experience in the machine building or robotics industry.
- A hands-on mentality and a liking for working in a prototyping environment.
- A solution-oriented approach and strong written and spoken communication skills, in both Dutch and English.
- Experience in the food industry or packaging Industry are appreciated.
- Affinity with the design of electro-mechanical systems is beneficial.
