Mechanical Sales Estimator
Our client, a growing organisation, specialise in mechanical and industrial engineering services and work with a wide variety of blue-chip customers across the UK. They are growing their team and now require a Mechanical Estimator
Reporting into the Mechanical Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing solutions and quotations through to installation and handover.
Position:Mechanical Sales Estimator
Location: Normanton.
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + company car
The Job:
- Planning and delivering works in conjunction with health and safety and statutory requirements and ensuring services are delivered to customers in line with cost, quality, and time targets.
- Undertake site surveys, technical assessments, provide onsite support and technical offerings.
- Carry out site evaluations and devise and deliver fit for purpose solutions.
- Provide technical and comprehensive job quotations to the client.
- The ability to effectively project manages installation works, from small scale to complex offerings.
- Effectively and accurately assign timescales, material and equipment lists to jobs.
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s health and safety, quality, and environmental procedures in accordance with legislation and the company’s policies and procedures.
- Developing effective working relationships with customers, managing issues and problem solving to ensure service levels meet agreed standards.
- Ensuring RAMS, general reports, dynamic risk assessments, certificate of completion and all other relevant paperwork are completed in a timely manner, whilst following company procedures.
- Available to travel across the UK with some overnight stays.
What You’ll Need:
Essential
- A strong proven mechanical engineering background
- Previous experience of working to health and safety requirements and ensuring compliance
- The ability to read and correctly interpret drawings.
- Knowledge and experience of ISO standards and accreditation/best practice.
- Computer literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Full driving license
- Safety passport
Desirable
- Field based experience in a mechanical, pipe fitting and/or welding role.
- Experience within a customer facing role.
- Supervisory experience.
- IOSH Managing Safely award or similar (NEBOSH etc.)
- Engineering qualification
