Salary Client: Our client is a leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor operating in London and the home counties. Having been established for 20 years they benefit from a large amount of repeat business. They pride themselves on being able to deliver technically, logistically challenging and fast-paced schemes. With a turnover in excess of £50M they operate in Commercial Office, Public sectors and high end residential. Their clients included: Galliford Try, British Land, Mace and Sir Robert McAlpine, to name a few.
Role: Mechanical Site Manager - £260 -£280 per day
The successful candidate will be responsible for the on site management of the mechanical package part of a £20m MEP project based in Oxford. Our client are delivering the refurbishment for a first of its kind immigration holding facility. The existing building is being completely stripped down to its shell and being fully redeveloped inside out. The preconstruction begins end of Decmeber until February and the install will continue until December 2024.
Role/Responsibilities:
* Design Review (scope gaps / clashes)
* Short term programming.
* Health & Safety (RAMS).
* Technical Submissions.
* Preparation/issuing RFIs.
* Sub-contractor coordination.
* Quality Assurance – using tablet software
* Liaising with client team, main contractor and sub-contractors
* Progress meetings with sub-contractors, professional teams and client
The ideal candidate:
* Progressed from a tools background and have good technical knowledge of Mechanical services.
* Experience managing projects to a minimum of £2M within your own discipline
* Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Mace, Wates, etc
