Technicians Required – Permanent - £41,000 per year - 40 hours per week
An opportunity to shine in a demanding engineering environment working on a fleet of new state of the art and existing buses for the largest maintainers and operators of buses across the UK.
The Situation
You will be working for a large global organisation that provides innovative solutions to bus operations and maintenance operations. You will have the opportunity to become an integral part of helping to maintain and repair some of these state-of-the-art buses, whilst working a mixture of earlies and lates, on a permanent basis.
You will provide various maintenance and refurbishment tasks on both new and legacy fleets of buses for London and surrounding areas, ensuring the buses are safe to go out into service, and ultimately helping to ensure buses are running and providing a 1st class service for passengers with minimal disruptions to timetables.
Working in a busy depot, you will be required to use a variety of specialist tooling to carry out your work.

0:600 > 14:00 (1 week on)
14:00 > 22:00 (1 week on)
Role and Responsibilities
Technicians are expected to be capable of providing a high level of service in regards to maintenance and overhaul procedures on both the interior and exterior of buses.
Maintenance and servicing procedures can/will be both electrical and mechanically disciplined tasks.
- Servicing, maintenance, repairs, and overhaul on PSVs.
- Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability procedures and operations.
- Both preventative and reactive maintenance.
- In-depth fault diagnosis.
- Ensuring maintenance is kept to the highest standard.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will be a dual-skilled technician with a proven track record of maintenance activities within the bus/rail/HGV sectors.
Essential
- NVQ Level 2 in an engineering discipline or time served experience
- Bus / PSV / Coach experience
- Able to interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams
- Use of diagnostic software
- Use of test and measuring equipment
- Must have full right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
