Job role: Mechanical Technician
Salary: £26,000-£32,000 + 15% shift premium (up to £36,000!)
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire
Hours: 6:30-14:00, 14:30-22:00 double days weekly rotations
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Role:
· Carry out PPMs, reactive breakdowns, inspections and repairs to the machinery on site (motors, compressors etc), recording meter readings where required.
· Mechanical and electrical fault finding of the plant and the machinery on site.
· You will be responsible for the installation of new equipment on site, whilst sharing your ideas on implementing improvements where required.
· Comply with HSE procedures, ensuring these are adhered to and any risk assessments are carried out when required.
· Comply with site security procedures.
The Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years worth of experience in a similar position (essential)
· Strong mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic skillset (essential)
· Apprentice trained (advantageous)
· Previous experience working within the Automotive/Aerodynamic industries (advantageous)
· Some electrical knowledge - training is provided (advantageous)
· Relevant qualifications within Mechanical Engineering (NVQ, City & Guilds, Degree etc)
· Eager to learn and progress your career within engineering
