Medical Negligence Senior Solicitor 5+ Years Pqe

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Negligence Senor Solicitor to join a firm which is ranked in the Top Tier for the Legal 500 with senior lawyers ranked in the Hall of Fame. As a key member of their impressive clinical negligence team, you will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload of medical (clinical) negligence claims from inception to resolution - settlement or trial. You will advocate for your clients who have suffered harm due to medical malpractice, providing them with expert legal advice and representation throughout the litigation process.

The ideal candidate would have a have passion to help people, experience of handling a Medical Negligence case load. Excellent organisational, time management and drafting skills. Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring. 5+ years PQE or equivalent experience is a necessity along with experience in running a clinical negligence caseload. 
The Senior Solicitor would play a key role in one of the Medical Negligence teams by working on allocated cases, corresponding with clients and experts to ensure their cases are conducted in a proactive and commercially focused manner. You will be joining a quality, large, busy, and growing team of clinical negligence experts. You will be working on all aspects of litigation within your team, both pre-litigation and post-litigation work.
Key Responsibilities: 

• Discussing and agreeing case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and members of the team
• Identifying cases which are ready for LOC, settlement and service within the team
• Working with the team to ensure that relevant information is being collected and collated to enable the progression of the case
• Management of a caseload in a proactive commercial manner
• Coordinating the progression of cases with all internal and external parties
• Drafting of legal documentation including LOC, letters of instruction
• Negotiating settlement and the issuing and service of proceedings should it be required
• Overseeing the documentation and correspondence produced by the team
• Advising the team on any technical issues arising from their cases.
