The ideal candidate would have a have passion to help people, experience of handling a Medical Negligence case load, Excellent organisational, time management and drafting skills. Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring. 7+ years PQE or equivalent experience is a necessity along with experience in running a widely varied clinical negligence caseload and managing a team working in Medical Negligence.
Ideal Canddiate will also need:
- A good understanding of how to deliver and grow team productivity.
- Experience of coaching and supporting team members
- Ability to role model good practice leadership
Strategy & Execution
Implement departmental plans in team to deliver company priorities
Ensure that the team provides excellent customer service
Ensure the team achieves their agreed performance targets
Support the budgeting process for the Medical Negligence department
Ensure high quality case planning, file management and ESD management within team, to support financial planning and delivery of team budgets
Leadership & Management
Coach, develop and support team members
Model exemplary management behaviours
Promote a fee earning environment where all lawyers are constantly developing and meeting their potential
Technical
Provide advice and guidance on any and all Medical Negligence issues
Ensure cases are progressed appropriately and customer satisfaction is delivered
Work with the Heads of Department to ensure the team delivers quality legal services with unrivalled customer care in a compliant way
