Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is a private 46-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults, located on the edge of London in Hayes, Kent. The hospital provides care and treatment for patients with a wide range of Mental Health issues both as inpatients and day patients. Hayes Grove specialises in providing care for patients with acute mental health conditions, addiction issues - both drug and alcohol, and also has a specialist Eating Disorders unit. The hospital is situated close to excellent transport links to central London, Croydon and Bromley areas and parking is available locally
We are currently looking for an experienced part time Medical Secretary to join our team at Hayes Grove.
The ideal candidate will have excellent skills with administration and typing skills, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, as well as having the ability to lead and work well within an established team.
Prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Function well under pressure.
Communicate effectively and sensitively with service users and their relatives.
Use initiative when appropriate.
Support with general administrative tasks as guided by the Lead Administrator
Duties include document and report production, managing internal and external telephone enquiries, diary management, scanning and copying
Role supports all clinical areas of the hospital and may involve some ward based administrative duties along with those based in the admin office
Post holder required to follow defined processes and procedures in carrying out their duties
An ability to prioritise is important, scheduling tasks to ensure important deadlines are met
An attention to detail is of key importance as the role involves dealing with confidential and sensitive data and handling of such data must be in line with regulatory, statutory and site requirements
Role involves a significant amount of computer use, therefore IT confidence and ability is a requirement
The post-holder may be required to undertake other duties or projects from time to time that are within their capabilities
