Medication Coordinator - Alcedo – Full Time – Blackpool
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to become a key member of our dynamic Homecare Team In Blackpool. As our Medication Coordinator, you will be working closely with our home care Manager, you will be responsible for effectively auditing client EMAR plans and completing the relevant plans electronically, liaising with GP’s and Pharmacists to ensure up to date medication is prescribed. You will often be the first point of contact for our carers, clients, and other health care professionals regrading medication. The role also involves Transcribing medication tasks onto client’s care plans with up-to-date information and escalating any discrepancies following company policy. Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and safety at all times.
• Establishing working relationships with healthcare professionals and their patients to ensure safe working practises are adhered to.
• Office hours £25,000 per year + out of hours on call (pro rota). 35p per mile milage when in the community performing tasks for the role.
• This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to care.
• Responsibilities:
• Coordinate medication administration schedules for all clients according to prescribed protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure accurate dispensing and administration of medications, adhering to dosage instructions and safety precautions.
• Maintain thorough documentation of medication records, including dosage, frequency, and any observed side effects or reactions.
• Communicate effectively with the care management, care assessors, clients, and our field care team regarding medication-related issues and concerns.
Requirements:
• Strong understanding of medication administration procedures, dosage calculations, and safety protocols.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Level 3 in health and social care
