About the service.
Essendene Bungalow is a five-bedroom property, operating as a supported living service for individuals with Mental Illness and Learning Disabilities. Some of the people living at Essendene may also express behaviours which others might find challenging.
Within your role:
· Support individuals with to live a fulfilled and meaningful life through the delivery of structured daily activities and supporting them into the local community.
· A focus is placed upon developing levels of independence through engagement in Daily Living Skills such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
· You will encourage individuals to maintain healthy standards of personal care, promoting the engagement in washing and bathing.
· To provide emotional/wellbeing and Mental Health Support.
Contract of employment:
· 30 hours (minimum) per week.
· Shifts include; mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleep ins and every other weekend.
· 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)

If you are new to care then this also applies to you - a fundamental part of our recruitment is based upon attitude and personality so experience is not essential.
Full training including the Care Certificate will be provided as well as intensive support from your line manager to ensure you get the most out of your new role.
