The vacancy

In your role as a Community OutreachSupport Worker - Mental Health, you will be travelling across Cambridgeshire (Huntingdon, Yaxley, Sawtry, Warboys, March, etc) to our service users, providing a vital service within the community working with individuals with Mental Health requirements. Being a main source of support and point of contact, our goal here is to help improve their quality of life, their ability to sustain their tenancies and the achievement of independent living.

  • Assisting people with shopping, supervising medication, and prompting clients to do domestic chores. Social inclusion support to build confidence in accessing the community.

In addition to the above you would be responsible for:

Having some knowledge and understanding of Mental Health and the issues around it would be beneficial.

You’ll be comfortable in challenging negative beliefs and provide positive behaviour support, and always demonstrate a supportive and caring nature. It’s crucial to display good communication and listening skills, with a strong ability to provide advice to help our customers.

Please note, it is an essential requirement to hold a full driver’s licence as you will have access to a fleet of pool cars in order for you to carry out your role.
