Here at our Clients busy Accident Repair Centre based in Weybridge, they are currently looking for an additional MET / Mechanic to join their expanding and busy team. Our client genuinely care about what they do and strive to provide an extraordinary quality of service for their customers.

That's why our client is excited to be growing their team and looking for additional people to join them as a MET (Mechanical, Electrical and Trim) Technician. This role is at the heart of our clients Crash Repair business and you'll need be enthusiastic, upbeat and committed to delivering the best repair service. As you can imagine Health and Safety and working to industry standards is essential to us.
Our client always ensure their teams and customers safety at each stage of the repair process, ensure tasks are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety as well as in line with Audatex estimates, adhering to and working towards BS10125 procedures.
Day to day duties as an MET Technician with our client:
- Vehicle Assessment - any damage from accidents or collisions; observing the structural integirty of the vehicle
- Mechanical repairs - replace or repair damaged components such as suspension, steering and other mechanical parts
- Electrical repairs - Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including lighting, sensors, wiring and electronic components
- Trim repairs: repair or replace interior and exterior trim components including panels, upholstery, dashboard etc
- Welding and fabrication - perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair or replace structurally damaged metal for customers cars
- Alignment and calibration: doing wheel alignment to ensure vehicle operates and steers how it is intended to. Calibrate ADAS and other safety features to meet the vehicle manufacturer specifications
- Documentation and Reporting: keeping up to date records of repairs performed including parts and labour used
- Quality Control ensure that all repairs meet industry standards and doing test drives when appropriate
- Team collaboration: working with other technicians such as Paint Sprayers, Panel Beaters, Alloy Wheel refurbishers etc to ensure a comprehensive and high quality repair and communicate effectively with other team members to ensure a smooth and well oiled workflow through out the Accident Repair Centre
As a MET Technician they want you to bring your previous experience, skills and knowledge to the team. You'll need to demonstrate your experience in stripping, refurbishing and fitting a wide variety of vehicles, as well as working to tight deadlines to meet our clients customer's needs in a timely manner.
