Microbiology Veterinary Laboratory Assistant – Part-time, 12 months FTC

Langford Vets Diagnostic Laboratories are looking for a part-time Microbiology Veterinary Laboratory Assistant to work as part of the Diagnostic Laboratories Microbiology laboratory team.

This role supports the microbiological service to the hospitals and practices at Langford Vets, as well as external veterinary practices, alongside our Veterinary Clinical Pathology staff to enable a comprehensive, accurate, efficient, and reliable diagnostic service for Langford Vets.

The successful candidate will need to have at least 1 year Microbiology laboratory practical experience, with knowledge of veterinary or medical microbiology. The candidate will work in a small team, there may be occasions where solo work is necessary. Main duties include processing bacterial and fungal cultures, serology samples and parasitology, use equipment such as the VITEK and MALDI-tof, and assisting with Stock control.

Salary for this role will be between £23,400 (FTE).
