SalaryMy D&B main contractor client is after a Mid-Weight Designer to join their team in the centre of London. This is a dynamic London-based interior and architecture design studio that specialises in private residential, retail and commercial space across London. They take pride in creating exceptional designs that transcend boundaries and is looking for a Designer with similar goals to join their team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Conceptual Design: Generate creative and innovative design concepts for private residential, retail, and commercial spaces.
Project Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, project managers, and clients, to bring design visions to life.
Design Development: Lead the development of detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and material selections.
Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and preferences, ensuring designs align with their expectations.
Space Planning: Conduct effective space planning to optimize functionality and aesthetics within given project parameters.
Trend Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, materials, and technologies to infuse projects with contemporary and cutting-edge design elements.
Project Management Support: Assist in project management activities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Mentoring and Collaboration: Mentor junior team members and actively participate in a collaborative design environment.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a mid-Weight Designer in an interior or architecture design role.
Skills: Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite), strong conceptual and spatial design abilities.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of successful projects within similar fields
Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and articulate design concepts effectively.
Team Player: Proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and work under tight deadlines.
