Midday Supervisory Assistant

Hours of work: 6.25 per week
Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 5.85 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
(As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)
Fixed term for: 8 months

We are looking for Midday Supervisory Assistant to join the Cross in Hand team.

Cross in Hand is a happy and successful Church of England Primary School in Heathfield, East Sussex. We have genuinely lovely children, supportive parents and a great team of staff. Our academic results are good, but we develop the ‘Whole Child’ so we value the creative arts and sport too.

We are looking for a friendly, caring and confident individual with good listening and communication skills to join our staff team. The role involves supervising children during the lunch break, both inside and outside, whilst they eat and play.

• Understands the needs of primary aged children.
• Can integrate well into a community and team.
• Will have will have the sole responsibility of coordinating sport and activities on the playground.
• Can encourage positive play among children.
• Understands the importance of a safe play environment.
