Due to continued growth, we're now seeking a qualified Air Conditioning Service Engineer based in or around the Yeovil area,to complete planned maintenance, emergency reactive calls, and project work. We're a reactive facilities maintenance business so no two days are the same and while we try to keep you as close to home as possible, ultimately you will get to see parts of the South West that you may never have seen before! We'll give you a van and fuel card to get around though and we help you manage your workload through the use of industry-leading software

About the job

• Complete planned maintenance to a high standard to ensure the equipment installed
• Continues to operate when required, minimises breakdown and downtime
• Is safe to operate and that any safety critical items are fully operational
• Have up-to-date clear and concise maintenance records
• Complete emergency reactive calls that are logged, to a high standard which assists us to achieve our first-time fix aspirations.
• Complete site surveys as and when required
• Travel to and from customer sites and complete works as instructed
• Undertake out of hours works via shift patterns as required including on-call duties.
• Diagnosing and fixing HVAC/M&E equipment breakdowns.

• Carrying out HVAC/M&E breakdowns
• You will also be expected to work as part of an on-call rota to cover out-of-hours emergencies (circa 1 in 10 weeks) and there may be occasions when you'll be asked to work outside your core discipline to support other teammates

About you

• Experience working on a range of Air Conditioning and refrigeration equipment including VRVs, VRFs, Splits, and Chillers
• FGAS Cat 1
• NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Equipment
• Working knowledge of building regulations
• Building environmental and electrical services experience including heating, ventilation, and Air Conditioning within the building services industry
• Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
• Basic plumbing and building material skills/knowledge
• We'd like you to have worked in a field-based multi-site, maintenance position before
• An NVQ Level 2 Plumbing and Heating qualification would be great as would a Part P electrical certificate but they aren't essential)
• Full UK driving license
• Strong communication and relationship management skills

As our Air Conditioning Service Engineer, you ll support the continued growth of the business by providing reactive and planned maintenance services in the area as well as support larger scale projects.

Hours of work are generally Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30, but flexibility will be needed for start and finish times, out-of-hours working, and an on-call rota. We are a reactive facilities maintenance business so no two days will be the same. That means, there will be times when you'll need to work extra hours to meet our customers' needs.

Because some of the sectors we work in involve close contact with vulnerable or young people, successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
