Alecto Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Heavy Plant Fitter based in Bristol and the surrounding area
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to join their team. As a Heavy Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of Heavy Plant machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, dump trucks, and other specialized equipment.
On Offer:
- £36,000 - £40,000 Basic Salary for a 45 hour week

Requirements:
- Experience in maintaining and repairing Heavy Plant machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and dump trucks.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
- NVQ level 3 in Heavy Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholder
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A valid driver's license.
- Experience working on machinery from a range of manufacturers, including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi, JCB, and Liebherr, among others.
- Experience working on a variety of Heavy Plant vehicles, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, dump trucks, and other specialized equipment, is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and inspections on Mobile Heavy Plant machinery.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in Heavy Plant equipment.
- Scheduled Servicing: Follow maintenance schedules and carry out routine servicing of Mobile Heavy Plant machinery.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards while working on Mobile Heavy Plant machinery.
- Parts and Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for repairs and maintenance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and servicing performed on equipment
