About the Role:

BDM Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker (CeMAP qualified) to join a well-established national wealth management firm on a hybrid basis in the Stockton-on-Tees area. This dynamic role offers a unique blend of pre-qualified leads, diverse client interaction, and access to the entire mortgage market.

Overview:

An independently owned financial services national wealth management firm is looking to recruit an experienced Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker to work on a hybrid basis in the Stockton area. The successful candidate will receive 10-15 new pre-qualified leads a week from a dedicated professional introducer, as well as additional leads referred via other financial services departments within the company, internet leads, social media, marketing, and access to an extensive client base.

Main Duties:

• Working Hours & Location: Monday to Friday on a hybrid basis, with 2-3 days a week in the Stockton-on-Tees office.
• Lead Generation: Receive 10-15 new pre-qualified mortgage leads a week, including national and local enquiries (North Yorkshire and Durham).

• Mortgage Advice: Provide mortgage and protection advice to new and existing clients across the UK, primarily via phone and virtual platforms.
• Mortgage Knowledge: Demonstrate strong knowledge of the whole-of-market mortgage landscape.
• Remortgage Opportunities: Develop and nurture relationships with the firm's existing client base, offering remortgage opportunities.

• Market Access: Offer whole of market mortgage and protection advice, dealing with clients via telephone or virtual meetings.
• Additional Leads: Access to leads from internet sources, social media, marketing efforts, and the company’s extensive client base.
• Client Interaction: Conduct appointments and provide mortgage advice, with occasional evening meetings as required.

Key Skills:

• Qualifications: Full CeMAP qualification (or equivalent) and competent adviser status (CAS) are essential.
• Experience: Proven track record in providing mortgage advice, preferably as a whole of market Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker.
• Personal Attributes: Ambitious, driven, goal-oriented, personable, and presentable.

• Pro-Active: Confidence in generating business through various channels, including referrals.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills and confidence in contacting existing clients to offer remortgage services.
• Requirements:
  • Clean credit history with no criminal convictions.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to commute to the Stockton-on-Tees office 2-3 days a week.
