Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer-days only

Working for our client a leading supplier to retailers throughout the UK our client is looking for a Multi Skilled engineer.

You will be working days only with a salary in the region of GBP45-47k per annum working days only 8-5pm. You will be joining a team of 3 other engineers and be expected to be on call 90 days per year however you will be paid whether you are called out or not typically this can lead to another GBP2500 on top per annum. You are paid at GBP20 per hour for first call out.

We are looking for someone who is Multi Skilled with some form of elec quals which are essential basic machining welding skills are useful if not these can be taught.

With the company operating 24/7 you will be expected to take the on call once every 4 weeks. The days would comprise of 5 out of 7 with every few weekends being on site poss 1 out of every 4. eg weds thurs fri sat sun or sun mon tues weds thurs etc etc

Bank holidays are half days only. If you are a Mech Engineer with Elec skills we would still be interested. Preferably someone who is more Elec than Mech however the company is willing to consider both.

As part of your role you will:

• Take part in general PPM on process equipment e.g. automation machinery, packers, pumps and motors, conveyor equipment.
• Conducting planned preventative maintenance based on schedule to optimise machinery performance
• Quick reaction is required efficiently to minimise down time.

We are looking for someone with career stability ie at least 18 months in their last position who is time served and as acted as a Multi-Skilled Engineer has a relevant qualification along with being time-served.

What Skills do I need?

Time-served Apprenticeship

• Experience in a Multi Skilled Maintenance engineering role in an industrial setting is a must.
• Strong Mechanical Knowledge./ electrical knowedge
• Welding/ Fabrication / machining skills .preferred
